A delegation of All Pakistan Gems & Jewellery Association called on Mr. S. M. Muneer, Chief Executive, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in his office. Mr. Habib-ur-Rehman, Chairman of the association congratulated Mr. S. M. Muneer for assuming the charge of Chief Executive, TDAP and reposed the full confidence that under his leadership TDAP will be a proactive organization and will do a lot to promote the exports of gold Jewellery.

Mr. S. M. Muneer, while welcoming the delegation, stated that his doors are open to every exporters for resolving their genuine issues and to remove any bottlenecks to augment every export opportunity. The office-bearers of the Association requested the CE TDAP to take up the matter with the Finance Minister for lifting the ban in import of gold, which has badly affected the exports of gold Jewellery and has witnessed 70% dip. Mr. Muneer assured TDAP's full support and that he will take up the matter with the Finance Minister soon. He further assured that TDAP will also sensitize FBR for facilitating the exporters of gold Jewellery at the airport and provision of safe place / areas in the lounges and other technical issues for filing of GD. C.E TDAP emphasized upon the office bearers of the APGJMA to get themselves registered with the TDAP which is a mandatory requirement under the SRO 760. TDAP will soon issue a Public Notice to this effect and requested full cooperation of the Association.
